Okay, when you go to your desktop, Right click on the background and click Properties. Then go to the "Settings" tab. When you get there you will see this: WHen you click the (2) Monitor you will see options. CHECK the BOX that says "Extend My Windows desktop onto this monitor" then drag the 2 in the box above (with 1 and 2 boxes) to the area your monitors are positioned (Will determine the exit and enter points to your mouse). Then hit apply. Merged Post: Anyways. When you look at it, the screens should look like this: When you get to the page with the Image from the Tab, right click and hit Open to see the full thing.
Anything can open in another screen. Its just like your normal screen. I'd love to do dual monitors, but my gfx card only has one port for a monitor and I'm too poor to go out and buy another. I wonder if there is an adapter for one of the ports that I already have?
I'm going to order a new computer this weekend, and I'm looking for a good graphicscard with 2 ports.
Why would you ''need'' 2 screens? No way, you really ''need'' it. Its cool but for me one 20" is enough...
Xander - "dont you have to have 2 screens? If so, No you cant" I said - "Yes, you need two screens." But 20" is nice, but I want dual.
stop spamming topic. I know what do to but HOW to connect the 2 screens so the computer will read that it has 2 screens. can i do it with a laptop?
with a laptop, I'm not sure, but with Pc's, you need a gfx card with a double header, either a vga and dvi, 2 vga's, or 2 dvi's. the lowest you can go, I think is a XFX 5500... mine had a dvi and pci port. you can get a dvi to pci adapter, if you do not have any dvi monitors.
