    I want to make some C4D renders, but i've heard maya has the same functions and is faster/better. Could you guys give me some advice? Why C4d or why Maya?? Do not just say C4D is better cos i say or sth like that, contrast programs or talk about advantages/disadvantages plz.

    Hum, are there no opinions about this? My doubts ain't letting me sleep! xD

    EDIT: ok sorry, hadn't see the poll xD 4 votes to C4D, 0 to maya. I guess you have also tried maya, right? Can you say why do you prefer C4d?

    c4d willl make c4d renders 100% of the time while maya will neever make a c4d render so I voted C4d even though it's not as good of a program for 3d rendering.

    well it really just overall depends on what your aiming for... C4D is good for making abstract renders and shapes (like Chess Pieces) - whilst Maya is a much more proffessional software that firstly needs alot of training and it does alot o.o

    I would think for what you want C4D would do, maya is good but its insane, it will take you many years to be able to create anything good in it and as was said it helps if you have training.

    from what i know

    c4d=easier, pretty good, cheaper
    maya=harder, better, expensive

    also...you wanna make c4d renders, you kinda answered your own question, as if it a abstract render in maya, it would be a maya render, no?

    and toy story i believe :D

    Maya amazing program , very complicated and very pricey - Used for CG animations , and just complicated modelling at company level or professional artists/modellers

    If you are just going to make renders and want simplicity then go for Cinema4D - It will save the hassle
