"the Da Vinci Code" - The Hoax Behind The Code

the year system as we know it is based on a time when religion ruled the world. between the fall of the roman empire and the renaissance, there was virtually no science. even literature and writing was only kept alive due to monks. it was all religion, and since religion in europe meant christianity, it meant that years were reckoned by christianity's system. since the true age of the earth is a very recent discovery (relatively speaking) and since we can't pinpoint the exact age of the earth, we continue to use the system of the church, despite knowing that the planet is much much older than that.

1: "in His Image" meaning created with an eternal soul...not lookalikes.

2: Free will. Basically, God has a Will, and wants us to follow it..however, he doesnt force it upon us.. we can choose to follow it or go our own way...there is no predestination.

3: Street magic cannot bring the dead to life, split seas, and make the physically blind see.

4: absurd question. God made the blind man blind, yes, but to many, its not a curse... it all depends on perspective. and see my answer to #2.



for whoever it was that asked if God exists, i wrote this for my philosophy professor as part of an online debate.

i really dont get it why people believe that the stories told in the da vincci code is true even though ron howard(the director) stated that it's purely fiction.
