If any of you have installed Windows Media Player, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, you will have noticed that at the end of the installation, you can designate file types that will by default be opened in that program. I am wondering if anyone knows of a program or a way to set those default file types. This is mainly because right now, Dreamweaver is set as my default php editor, but I have a program called PHP Designer 2005 that I prefer, but I don't know how to open files in it instead without using the Open With... option.

you could always try google. try 'file extension manager', i have gotten a few finds. you could also go to:
Run -> Regedit -> HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and manually edit what they open with ^_^.

Right click a file of the format you want
    open with
    chose program
select the program you want to open it with then
then tick the "always use this selected program to open this type of file"
    Something like this.
