To Computer Kid: You also have pixel doubling on ... which means instead of running the game at 1024 x 768 ... your actually running it at 512 x 384 ... because pixel doubling, doubles the size of your pixels on screen ... meaning ... it looks like crap Essentially ... this is an example of the difference (see pic below):
Dudes.. 30 is playable... but 60FPS is full so... I will demonstrate, as soon as Black Hawk Down goes off, what it should look like. This is how it's done... Computer and Graphics on MAXIMUM.. Soft Shadows and All Physx also on 1024 and DX9 so...
i got a question a guy i knew in my old clan had his fps on 90 in CS 1.6 hwo do i push my FPS to 90? in CounterS
go to console and type: fps_max 9999 if you want to limit your fps, then set the '9999' part to w/e number you want it limited to. It wont play at 9999 fps, but it will play at the max that your card can get.
He isn't the most up-to-date John, don't be an ass. Don't -Rep John either. He wasn't really trying to be stupid. But like I said, it's all about the GFX card. Mine runs 200. But the processor you have also plays a role, I forgot to mention. BAH! Also does RAM!
Congrats, I got 2 as well... I took out 2 for performance. I could have 4GB of RAM. Erm... so, what about it?
I got only like, 50fps I believe..however, it never has framerate lag when i play (unless i do the 32 man games, xD)
OKAY GUYS! Your eyes refresh at a rate of 100FPS. So, to NOT see any jumped frames would be to make everything at, or above 100FPS. So, yeah.
I notice a huge diference between 60-30 FPS... I play with crap INT 6100GFX at my dads and when I turn on antialiasing the FPS on cS1.6 and CS:cz drop form 60 solid to 30 solid... and I mean solid, within a .1FPS deviation... 30 is somewhat choppy.
I had a crappy old vid card b4 my 7800GT it was some old chaintech it only let me have 30FPS until i messed around wit the settings and crapp i got like 50-60FPS quite weird. So your saying in console i type fps_max 999999999? Merged Post: I got a 7800GT and im prety sure i can get better fps i just dont know how the hell to get 90 or more
just turn vsynch on and don't fing worry... you can't get anything higher than what vsync allows because your screen can't keep up, it's actually best to use it because even though your fps are technically "lower" they match up more precisely with your screens output rate meaning the delay between frames is lessened making your respince a few milliseconds better and the game technically a bit more smooth. Plus it takes a small load of your equipment... they don't have to render as many frames
