Okay, now I know what you're going to say, "DON'T USE IE!! USE FIREFOX!!". I don't! I only use it for opening up webpages that don't work in Opera. Now I know what you're going to say, "DON'T USE OPERA!! USE FIREFOX!!". Well, I don't really have an explaination for that one, but anyway.

A few weeks ago I installed Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2.. It diddn't work, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled IE 6. Now, it looks and works like IE6, but if you go into the "About IE" menu, it says it is Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2. This is making me mad because there are a lot of things out there that only work with Internet Explorer 6, because they haven't been updated. Is there any way I can get it back to *full* IE 6?

    Thanks,
    Canada

I already tried redownloading IE6 and reinstalling, diddn't work. Says that it is already installed on my system or something of that nature.

And I already have firefox.. I don't like using it because it takes 14 years for it to start up -.-

There is no Internet Explorer 7 thing in Add/Remove programs. I checked "Show Updates" too, not there. As far as I can see there is nothing to do with any Internet Explorer in there.

    And yes, Opera is #1!

SP2 as in XP SP2 or IE SP2?

I think a repair install would fix that, no? setting all the system files back to default...

    Hym, Read my first post...

I said I only used IE for websites that weren't compatible with Opera. I'm sorry for being so blunt, but is that so hard to understand?

Anyhoo I still haven't found a fix for this. Any other ideas?

Some registry files could be the problem, not sure.

How long ago has this been?

Tried a System Restore? Not sure if this will work, but its worth a try.
