    I can't decide what to get.

    I need some thing that:

    1. Can handle Graphics Well (sigs, animation)
    2. Play Big video games (Sim's, Star Wars, ect.)
    3. Easy to use
    4. Has wifi
    5. Has a CD (or DVD) burner and drive
    6. Lots of usb ports
    7. Connects to diffrent brands of things easily

    I have never even touched a MAC. So I have always used a PC.

    I've looked up the DELL XBS M1710 and it looks sweet for what I want. But I have not looked up any Mac's yet.

    Any thing under $7000 is ok, But I would perfer $5000 top.

    I have decided To get a PC. But It has come to my attention it might be cheaper to build one my self. So A little birdy told me you guys could help.
    I want something About $5000 or less. High end Gaming/Photoshop/School/Music/CD burning PC. Need Mouse an Keyboard too. (and any thing else you think I might need)

    As in a labtop.

    Well ... if your buying one for gaming ... don't get a mac because not as many games come out for it (as they have to separately produce them). Plus, the Mac OS is hard to get used to if you are used to using a PC. We work on Macs in my photoshop class at school and they are definatly not as good as a PC. Build your own computer too ... you could buy the best of everything for well under $5,000 most likely.

    for 1500 you could build a near top of the line gaming PC which will max anything out... albiet you'd OC a few parts... well after you consider the fact that you're budget would be 1/4th as much it would like be worth it...

    Core Duo @ 2.4GHz
    2GB DDR800SDRAM
    7900GT or x1900XT
    etc.

    Why would you want a Laptop processor in your PC? Right now Core Duos are only for laptops.

    nvm... name change...

    core2 duo...

    they come out in july.....

    to build sucha computer would be about $1300

    it would have about 80% of the p[ower of a $5,000 computer... and when you consider how fast comps are outdated it's stupid tp spend anymore

    you dont know what you're talking about... lol

    Core 2 Duo E' Series == Conroe (Desktop) (55 Watz -> 75)

    Core 2 Duo T' Series == Merom (Laptop) (25 Watz -> 55)

    ...

    Anyways, woah, mate, around $5000 -> $7000? Damn, you'll probably be wanting the Core 2 Duo Extreme Edition, if you wanna go real badass, SLi a couple 7900's. When the Intel's finally come out, we'll start building you a computer here, and show you the whole way through.

    Please, don't get a Dell (unless you're totally lazy and get that Renegade.)

    We can show you what you should get (as of now), but that will be totally irrelavent in 2 months. Trust me, you'll be very happy if you wait these 2 months.
