Well, concidering it is 41 light-years away, it has no effect on anything what they have found. Anything that far out, is just something they thought would be neat to tell people about. Nothing, even if they say it will, will more than likely be done to take it any farther. Maybe trying to figure out if it has life, other than that, the fact it is 41 light years away makes it almost impossbile to study due to the fact of how long it takes to take a picture of something that far out and how long it takes to get something close enough to it to do so.

It says one has temperatures moderate enough to have liquid water. Possible life?

Thats awesome. Although with a 33% chance of one of the 3 planets having life isn't worth it spendign wise to reacha 41 light year away planet.

Give it a few months, they'll say its some planets moons or discover a giant mirror-like substance reflecting our own image back at us 41 light years away.

Thats alllwwwaays how it ends up.

there has been other discoveries of extrasolar planets, meaning from other stars. its quite fascinating nonetheless. But what i personaly think is we should focus on our own solar system. theres still credible chance that Jupiter's Moon Europa bears an ocean of water under it's thick icy crust. if we were to analyze this moon more closely, it would be a far more fascinating find than a planet that will be unreachable for the next dozen generation.
