Well most teenagers have a thought of their perfect car in mind from before they get their licence. But how many actually go through with it?

Music is common among everyone, and blasting your tunes that can set off car alarms is always fun.

I got an 86' Mustang (coupe)... Its only a 4 cylinder (which helps in gas money for now). If anyone knows about cars, and Mustangs in general, you'll know the VERY limited ammount of space in this car.

My trunk measures 51" across, 14" high(12" deep) [front] then decends into a 6" high(12" deep). Amazingly, i fit four 12" MTXmzs1 subs into it. To run them im using an 1800 Watt Kenwood amp, and a 1200 watt MTX amp. To save my battery im also running a sting capacitor.

    Inside i have 6.5" Infinity speakers, and 8" mini-subs (no-named brand).

I want to add more. If i can, i would like to add another pair of 12" subs, but i dont know where to put them. My interior is also lacking room, so im not sure where i could, aside from under the seats, but i dont know if thats possible.... If anyone has ideas that would be awesome.

Well, lets hear about everyone elses ----.

That's what I'm doing first, Screw the look of it, that can wait. I just want my music to be enjoyable. And I'll only be 35 before I can do that if gas keeps going up x.x. (I'm just 14 now >_>)

10 subs wouldnt crack pavement. My friend's friend has eight 12"s in his... he enters it competitions and generally wins most of them. Im pretty sure he has his windows re-inforced, but even so, plexyglass would crack before cement.

If you sit in the car while its on, you get sick... unless you're used to it.

Why do you want so many subs in the first place, anyway? You know that a pair usually can suffice, especially when Mustang is already damn small to be used as a sound competition car.

I want more subs to make it BOOM. Yes, 2 subs can suffice, but how is that supposed to win competitions?

How can a mustang not compete in sound competitions? I fit 4 subs in... and if i went to a fiberglass box i could fix 6. My spare-tire's well in the back dips about 7", about the size of a shallow 12" sub, so i could easily put a new flooring into it and fit a 7th sub.

What is more complicated is placement of speakers... right now my interior is stock, so the space to fit them is the back, and front. Most older cars have the window brace so close to the door panel it is near impossible to put speakers in their, but i have managed to get 2 custom 6.5 infinitys installed there.
Until i can get my custom fiberglass dash, i dont know where else to put some speakers. Im going to have someone take a look and see where i can.... maybe in the seats? My front seats will have LCD screens in the headrests, so i might be able to put them in the backrest if i can find a stable enough bracket.

Well aside from the rambling... i repeat, HOW CAN A MUSTANG NOT BE A COMPETITION CAR?

add speakers in the kick panels since basicially all you care about is bass and not sound quality look at Q-Logic panels they are normally for regular speakers not subwoofers but it will give you a better idea of what you could possibly do. I miss my mustangs ;(

not a bad idea... i might do it, but i wanna see some options on getting some more speakers into the back since ive already got 4 up front.

Ive got a unique idea for running a system to play games, dvds, and music... I wont go into full details because i dont want others doing it, but to anyone who knows about game systems:
Take the DVD drive and put it in place of the deck and have the wires run through the flooring to the console itself underneath the front chairs. Rather than having to have the console shown and press the tray open to put a disc in, i can keep everything hidden.
The hardest part will be mounting a LCD screen to run off the xbox, unless i can find some sort of converter fit onto the xbox and connect to a screen.

I worded it wrong, I meant to say that must you choose Mustang to do it =/ when you have those cars like Scion TC, Civic Si, Scion xB, etc.

i hate the smoothness to them... I prefer the points rather than curves; more of a muscle car look. Although those cars are alright, they just dont appeal as much as the older models
