Emo today, is a joke to be honest, its a group of kids that listen to what MTV tell them too (as well as magazines EG: Kerrang) that have basicly evolved from Greebo's or "grungers" as i belive it is in america... names vairy depending on where you are. Kids that follow suit not knowing its history or what it evolved from. Plus big fringes, which i must admit i had at one time but before it was "Emo" [snapback]2491984[/snapback][/quote] word. i hate this new stereotype on emo's. I'm not emo, yet, people labell anything as emo nowadays and they know ---- about what it really is...Honestly, I dont know much either, but I know what it really isnt, and how it started, and where its gotten to be changed to now. Well im Asian, so im like the Asian group which there contains ghetto and preppy dress style. I dress both ways.
I dont really try and fit into any specific clique, i hang out with the same people every day but i talk to people from other "social groups" just as well. I think that the whole clique thing is stupid, people should'nt leave you out because you dont fit the specific criteria for a certain group. It all ends after highschool though so im not breaking a sweat about it.
I don't really classify people into social groups... But I'd have to say skater/punk and I hang out with preps/skaters/punks and "normal" kids...
As a "social group", i dont think i belong to any... i chill with everyone. As a person, im extremely un-shy, and will do anything that involves 'danger'. Observing high-school "friendships", it doesnt look like many people have social classes. There are divisions among people, but most people are able to talk to everyone. The only people i "hate" are the emo-fags. They're supposed to be mopy and "dark", but ----, all they do is wear black ---- and are constantly happy. I just wanna punch every single one for being a moron and thinking Black means they're emo. Most people think i go drinking every weekend and get stoned daily... but ive never done either. Havent taken a puff, havent taken a sip. This "judgement" comes from my stupidity... I like anything to do with risks, and will go to any length to get a laugh. I am a sports-fanatic. Sports i play include: soccer, basketball, rugby, golf, skating(not ice, the 1 with the board, DUH), snowboarding and boxing. Activities that i like are Free-running, bungy jumping, rock climbing and well, anything that can cause injury lol. So i pretty much relate to everybody(except those damn emos!!!!), which helps me keep my social-class open to pretty much everyone.
I have died black hair and listen to Funeral for a Friend but I'm most definitely am not emo... I don't hate emos or anything either... Actually. This social groups are quite retarded
