ok, heres my story. a few days ago some random guy PMs me and asks me to make him a sig. he has no posts and has only been a member for 2 weeks. however, I'm a decent guy, and it's easier for me to make a sig if I have parameters (a render, a style, text, etc.) I say sure, tell me what you want. after a day he hasn't replied, so I go ahead and make this:

he PMs me back a day after that (this morning) saying he was "asleep" and that he wants a specific render, new size, different text, etc. I have some time and I like making sigs, so I pump out these:

a few hours ago, I get another message saying he didn't like that one either and could I maybe make it a different style. being the kinda guy that likes to be liked, I go ahead and try what he wants and create these:

MY ULTIMATE POINT: would you have done that for someone if they had NO POSTS (even over the 3 days we were PMing back and forth) and were only a member for a few weeks? would you demand they become active in the forums? what's your thinking on this? just curious what the rest of the community feels about stuff like this.

    he's lucky I'm a nice guy... ;)

also, since he never posts, I'm reasonably sure he'll never read this

its doesnt matter how many posts they have. You are either a nice guy and make a sig for them, or dont.

I usually dont make a sig for anyone, unless i know them well.

well, I'll be much more inclined to do a favor for someone if I know that they contribute to the community and are a member in good standing, but essentially, you're right, either I'll make the sig or I wont. :D

followup: he liked the third generation, so we're all good :)

Ive made a signature for a n00b to sell quite often actually... normally I wont if they ask me to, but if they are starting to get active and they are generally a nice person (like they ask for my MSN to talk to me about learning and i get to know them that way) and they are just generally people i dont mind talking to i will make a sig for them for full rights... no problem for me...
