Well, it worked before the reformat..but now, when i try to get out of standby nothing works. I have gone to Device manager and set it so that keyboard and mouse can bring comp outta standbye... and, if I move the mouse or something to do that, i heard a fan starting up, but no luck otherwize...it never turned on.. any clues?...anyone?...someone?...
ahh yes, I did that....it didnt work...i even tried holding the button in, which only turned it off it used to work like that also, but it would flash if that needed to be pressed to get outta standbye... btw, how much does an lcd monitor compared to a crt save on the bill? I may sucker me 'rents into gettin another LCD to replace my other comps CRT so then i can give that comp this one, and I can get a gaming LCD thats just as good although this is good enough allso....yea..back to standbye stuff...one issue at a time
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/m.../hibernate.mspx your choice... as for the power.. am LCD uses about 1/3rd as much... at 8cents a KW hours... it would take... a lot of hours to break even...
break even? as meaning its actually worth it?...or...i'm not good with terms that require some intelligence/common sence.. xP it seems like hibernation is more for notebooks o.0 edit: Ahh i see.. Hibernation seems good...same as standby, but takes an extra minute or so, however, seems to load back up more stable. Thanks
