my current motherboard is brain dead... powers up, but no video from my gfx card, or the onboard video.. so I need: Socket A (AMD XP 3000+ compliable) get it from anywhere online. budget: $50, shipping included or free. I'm not particularly well researched in socket A motherboards, though I've always heard the DFI and EPoX were exceptionally good boards. not 100% sure about this one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16813123231 just find the equivilent baord on another site... feal sorry for you, when I don't have my stuff shipped accross the country, I'm able to get parts from newegg in less than 48 hours after order... as for PCI-e... not happeneing, don't make 462 boards w/ it. witha temporary board though, you might as well just get the cheapest thing unless your eally do plan on OCing almost anything will suffice.
well, I live in wisconsin, and ups ground from california takes up to 5 days at least... I know how to look, link... i just wasn't sure on the makes. all i ever tried on socket A was msi and asrock, and i broke both of them at least once... had to replace both, free of course... i knew DFI was/is good, but i never recalled seeing it in Socket A flavor.. edit: and this is more of a replacement until I get enough money for my 939 system, as you saw earlier, but i want to try my hand at ocing while i wait for my newer system.

thanks, def. but I got a board from the place i took my computer to. I just got an updated version of the board that accepts 400mhz ram. my other one says on the box it accepts 400, but it really only supports 333... so the 400 is being chopped. plus one chip of my dual 1gb (2 x 512) was bad, so I filled out a replacement form on kingston's site. Im back up now, just a tad slow with only 512...
