    im typing this quick, because i have to go in a few minutes..

    i disconnected my computer to re-wire it so it gets more circulation... now it turn on, but no monitor activity, i did plug the power into my 6600

    could be, AKW... could be.... but I believe i never touched the board, and never got shocked... guess ill have to bring up my post and buy the new build. dont have all the money, but i can at least buy the board and cpu, i can use my current ram and stuff until i get more money... I really need to get an esd band...

    before I do that, I want to test my old 5500 and make sure its just not the gpu...

    Just touch the inside of your case before you touch anything else. Also, those wristbands... no one really wears those. Either way, I think you ESD'd your GFX card... obviously not your motherboard. ;)

    FTR: You don't have to feel the shock, if you felt a shock from an electronic device you would KNOW it is fried... see... you can't feel it, it takes a MINI shock for those cards and boards. They are really sensitive like that. =(

    I highly dont think it is my gfx card. i took it out and used the onboard video. same thing...

    I think i partially fried my board, in that it doesnt get into bios, but fan, and psu work...

    Hmmm that is quite odd. But, you may have fried a bus on the planter board.

    im taking it to a local computer place, bought the board from them, and helped me when the first board i got from them was defective.

    after that ill bring up my computer build, and finalize the stuff..

    I guarantee you the board is "parially" fried, as you said. Same thing happened to me last year when I bought my friends Celeron 2.4ghz(for 15bucks, upgraded from my 4-5 year old 900mhz celeron :D ), and his mother board. The board was just standing on my desk, and a couple of days later when I put it in, the lights went on, the HDD spinned, the PSU fired up, even the CPU fan, but no effect on the BIOS. Computer store peeps told me it was ruined, and thats it. Buy a new MB :D

    Im going to buy a new 939 system. beats the hell out of my Socket A. need a new gfx card, too, to update my flimsy 6600...

    i won't buy it until I bring it to my computer store, and they confirm it is dead... I could buy a new Socket A board, put everything in it, and sell it for a few hundred dollars, and use that to buy me a new lcd monitor, or Wii...
