Hey, Im new to overclocking and I need a guide to Overclock my computer Amd athlon 64 3700+ 1024 Ram Ati Xpress 200 Card Tell me how to overl---- my system Thanks!
log into bios and just raise the divder and HTT, set the HT link to 3 or 4, kep voltage at stock as you likely don't have adequate cooling also if you bought your PC from a store, chances are they locked BIOS so you can't do this and You are SOL
so HTT, set the HT link= 3-4 As for cooling I got a nice big fan Can som1 one told me perfect setttings for amd athlon 64 3700+ Ill give free unbanned steam account with counter-strike, css, dods, cz Peace! Merged Post: How to log into my bios?
overl----, seriously tho, you restart your computer and when you see all the text about your drives and stuff, on most systems, you press Delete to go into the bios (setup), for Dell's, its usually F2, HP is usually F1, etc. should say toward the bottom of your screen.
I will give you the "perfect" settings, sort of. AIM em for details. also, note that every CPU motherboard and ram DIMM are diferent, their maxes will all be diferent. AIM me: socaldumbass and I will help walk you through the essentials, though again it will take time and a little tweeking because each part is diferent, a 3000+ m ight OC better than you 3700+, then again your 3700 might OC better than an FX57, it's all luck of the draw. download this http://www.megaupload.com/?d=C1WFBP23 it's a .rar ed collection of OCing utilities then, DL this: http://oldversion.com/download.php?idlong=...6688b67229e3da2 run everest home edition and tell me which motherboard you have, also run CPU-z and tell me your ram's stock timings.
stress prime is a great stability test, when I test an OC I determine which CPU core is the limiting factor then I test it with small FTTs and test the good core with mix and if I pass for say 10 hours then I stay
I see, idk, how do I use ClockGen? I heard in Windows OCing wasnt good, is that what this does? idk how a feel about using it or does it just tell u what to set stuff at or something..
Read this: http://www.elite-------s.com/cms/index.php...id=54&Itemid=30 Replace the ----- with b-a-s-t-a-r-d (ofcourse without the -) And if you can't get acces to your voltage/frequency controls int he bios, you aren't able to to anything. We both gotta unlock them. Prolly because HP locked it out(Fujisu Siemens did for me so) However, I managed to find a bios hack, but my english isn't that great and I dont understand what they mean. Linky: To lazy to find check my post on page 2. Btw what bios do you have? And did you already bought a new HSF? Since the stock one will only hold for the speeds you have now.
