Hey, I was just browsing and found a folder named TEMP that was 1.5gb big. Being on a 33gb harddrive, 1.5gb is quite a chunk, and I am wondering if I can delete the files in it. I was looking around, and saw that it says I can, but I just wanted to make sure. It is located at C:\Documents and Settings\Alex\Local Settings\Temp If I delete anything, will any of my programs, or my computer not work anymore, or work badly? I need an expert. Thanks! Ok thanks. I just don't want to ruin my harddrive because of deleting them, thats all. Anybody else know anything about it?
Download CCleaner (ccleaner.com..heh) that will remove everything you need for you and safely. And you get to chose. Temporary Files is just one section of it all..
yup. clean TEMP folder every so often...easiest way to get to it Start > Run then type %temp% then just highlight them all then hold shift and press delete.
