Supposedly the government is planning to make it so that your ISP filters out webpages that don't pay to be allowed on their internet, or something like that. You also have to supposedly pay to get the webpages you want as well. I think it's complete bs. What do you guys think?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_neutrality Theres been many storys on big news sites about the US congress passing laws to basicly 'get rid' of it, it's kinda confusing.
The US. I don't have the exact source of where it is, but I got the link to it on this one site. Baltimore something or other. I don't believe it. Plus people would just find ways around it. And Proanimus, thats not what I was talking about -_-. Plus Congress can't really give away the internet. Its not even based in the US. It's in Switzerland or something. Sorry for the confusion on where this is. I completely forgot to take into consideration that there are people from other countries here
As far as how we recieve our internet, and how fast it is, etc etc, the congress can give it away. They are giving broadcasting companies and other companies control over that sort of thing. Which means...prices may either go down, or go up. It depends on how the companies handle it, and how competetive they get.
Very true. And when you've been to a state's capital and watched companies argue and trash talk, it's not very pretty.
This is the US we're talking about. Our government thinks they can do whatever they want <_< . I wouldn't put it past them, but I still think the article is bull.
