actually it's a little off nvidia is slightly ahead of ATi with cards on stock.. almost negligeable though. crossfire>sli I agree though not by a phenominal amount from what I've heard, the x1000 cards OC better than nvidia's 7 series cards.
ummm i dunno if this help or not, but I have a ati radeon X850XT and it runs very well, even stuff like Advanced Warfighter at 1280x1000 with full everything comes out really well. I recommend it. .....but if this has nothing to do with the topic then i guess u can flame meh.
Hmmm... I might have missunderstood. See, since I own an ATi x1900 I OC'd mine VERY reliably. I understand that the SLi doesn't get beet badly by the CS but it IS a win. I am going off my experience with a tad bit of info on the net. Thanks, I will look more into the OC's though. That is interesting. I think that the whole thing though, is a bit hit or miss. I think it is about all tied up at the moment. We will see what happens with DX 10.
well, I might be off on the OC stuff now, but I doubt it, the info I got from was comparing a single OCed x1800XT to two 7800GTX in SLI where in most cases the x1800 got more FPS. 90nm might have changed that situation a bit, but thn again all the 90nm cards are more or elss factory overclocked as compared to the 120nm cards as each transistor is set to clock on/off more than in 120nm/lower transistor count.
