I hear people all the time (gamers and non-gamers) saying "owned" and "pwned" all the time, it's pretty sad.
personally i think l33t 5p3@k is fine online but not in real life. like people who say lol or omg. but even online i think theres a limit too many people go over. i think lol is fine and omg cause most people know those but when people say brbgotpd and alike then thats stupid who whould know that means be right back going outside to pat dog. also when you replace every letter with a number or even more than 20% then thats just over the top unless its a joke. the only time i use leet speak in real life is when im joking. omg that is so l33tzor. and who is it hiding what there saying. any parent that spends alittle time on the matter will very quick work out what alot of the abreviations and l33t speak means and if not just google it or wikipedia it.
Yeah, Im getting sick of the omgz and I am so ub3r 1337 takular man.....but my friend did call a retarded kid 1337 whenever there was 2 retarded black kids fighting one day after school he goes Yep....pause......there totally 1337 but 1337 sp34k is not that popular much more.

lol...you can't really say numbers instead of words I use 1337 speak joking around with some friends. but I don't go over board. or like I was mad at a teacher one time and said something in 1337, they didnt know what it meant...and I wouldnt tell them so I gotta white card :-/
