My stock fan that is on my graphics card at the moment (x850 XT PE) is very loud. It sounds like a jet engine at startup and is also loud during gameplay. It also doesn't cool very well since it gets almost to 80 C in a cool room during the winter during full load. Overclocking is a big no no right now because it gets hot with even a minor overclock and then crashes once it gets over 80 C. I have heard good reviews about the Arctic Cooling ATI Silencer 5 and would like to overclock it after I install it. Is it worth the money? Its only $30 with free shipping on: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ductCode=316413 Best price I could find on the net ... even cheaper than newegg. Thanks
Yes, i think that will replace your loud rackety fan... just make sure it supports your card.. edit: looking at it again, it does support your card. go for it...
Sweet ... sounds good to me. Was gonna go for the new Zalman 900 HSF ... but I read some reviews on it ... and it's not all that great ... plus over $40. The ATI Silencer 5 cooler seems like the one thats right for me
yeah, sometimes its better to stay with the same company. like your ATI card and the ATI fan... (the word ATI is written on the thing, so you know it is made especially for ATI...)
Man ... I asked my parents and they said that they will talk with me about it on Monday or Tuesday ... <_<
