Right now I have windowblinds running with the noire skin. The default color for it is a grayish black color. I tried changing my wallpaper yesterday to one with some white, and this happens everytime I restart my computer: there's gray around all my desktop icons and it looks really bad. I tried changing the default color to white, and it works for a little while, but then it just reverts back to that gray and I get an outline around all my icons. anyone help?
Try getting rid of windowblinds, it is known to freak out and reset stuff. Try the uxtheme hack, it won't eat up your ram, and it is totally customizable......
I used that uxtheme hack ... best thing I've ever done. No programs with spyware and asking you to buy the full version. One of those programs almost screwed up windows on me (prevented me from logging in).
I just read this guide that is posted on these forums: http://www.gamerenders.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=112891
ive found that windowblinds doesn't like yahoo messenger or older versions of windows media player...
no, it is a XP built in function. you are just cracking it open to allow you to use any visual style. I use it myself, to be able to use the Royale theme...
If you don't know how to get the full version of Windows Blinds, you shouldn't be using it. Or the computer for that matter. That grey part of the icons is the shadows. And normally white backgrounds make the look like crap. Lastly, I think it actually is that windows blinds is telling the icons to revert to it's Dark background forms, when you actually have a white background.
yeah, that's exactly what happens to me :/ Think im getting rid of windowblinds.....it doesnt let me have a wallpaper, lol
WB has some problems, I've seen problems like this. just do the uxtheme hack. it won't rob you of ram like WB can..
