You can change anything in Windows via Regedit + Compiler. So, now, if you want to do that, it is better ofcourse (if you know what you are doing). Also, I don't suggest using any Wincustomize things and I don't suggest using a boot skin. There really isn't a point. But, if you want to, I would just get the stuff to do so and compile it, set it through Windows itself.

Note: Anything you do through regedit may be picked up as spyware and you may get errors through using spyware detection and it erasing what you did. If you messed with the before file, you end up screwed and you end up need reformat

Another words, I wouldn't do it. How about you? ;)

NEVER use a program to change bootscreens. It's just bad news. You can do it yourself in safe mode. Also, head on over to themexp.org to find an extensive collection of stuff... and they'll tell you how to do things there!

Yes, doing stuff through regedit in safe mode is what I meant. That, or through something else using safe mode. Either way, I like to use safe mode. >.<

Stardock, Object dock, Desktop Object X are all good, I sometimes have them on, but can use up alot of System resources. But aynthing to with changing bootup/logon screen is a no no, if anything goes wrong your stuffed and a reformat will be adue.
