    Hey,

I've been looking at Avast for a while, and am wondering which I should use.. Avast! or AVG? I've heard good things about both of them, but I'm just wondering, what do you think is better, and why?

    Thx

    Avast > AVG

Avast is the best free shyt you can get...

    1. At-boot scanning- this is equivelent to a safe mode scan, but it lowers the pain of having to go to Safe Mode
    2. Virus updates come at least every other day, and download at rocket speeds, automatically.,
    3. It's free! There are paid subscriptions, which i have, because i do love them so much. you will not be denied of any knowledge of a Virus.

Avast, I tried both and I'd say that.

Mostly cuz they are overall equal, except what master said..plus the option to stop a connection on webpages if it has virus/spyware on it.

Yeah it shouldn't be a problem. You can use both. I have before in the past. :)

    Gah, Avast is annoying..

I like it because it found a virus on my computer that AVG diddn't, but when it found the virus, a prompt came up which paused the scanning, and here I am thinking it was going all day... Any way I can disable this so it waits til the scan is done to notify me of viruses?
