I ment priority wise, the skin is more important then a more recent version of IPB

 

it actually takes about 3 seconds to install a new skin, but it takes longer to get the mods to work with the new skin, depending on how many mods you have installed some are as easy as rebuilding the skin cache and others you may have to manually add the skin_.php file in the correct cacheid_# folder and what-not.

 

ah k, yeah, i agree, more people would want the new skin prior to a new board... as would the moderators and admins, im pretty positive

 

What are you smoking? 90% of people who try to install a skin, can. I can assure you, Llamaman is able to do that quite easily. Its a matter of designing/ and coding one, which is the problem. Especially creating and coding one that is up to quality for 'GameRenders'. For a 'ipb expert', your full of ----. If, and when GameRenders upgrades to IPB 2.1.5, member count wouldn't be restarted. So you would still be member # 81,473. The only members who would ever 'test' a new upgrade/or features of GameRenders would be staff members of the site.

wow, see what happens? i make a suggestion and get blasted for it, i guess this is not a site that welcomes personal opinions, and yeah, i know of Matt, his name is all over the IPB core files. I dont know him personally but I know he coded it. I apologize for having an opinion or asking a question cause if you read back, thats all I have done. I never once told anyone or commanded anyone to do anything, I never asked to test anything out, and I really dont care what my member number here is. I just wanna see staff here blast every other member that has an opinion, if not then you are showing bias against me. I never said i was an expert, some sites choose not to modify the css of a skin, others do. I dont mind if you talk to Michael, go right ahead, as I posted in plain view, all I have done is a few tutorials, not even my 1st full mod yet, i never said i was expert, actually i stated the exact truth. Also note in the tut section here, I only posted the tuts that I made myself and none that are credited to anyone else. I dont appreciate getting blasted for no reason. Thanks

 

yes but what theyre trying to say is that perfect points doesnt go along with the skins images, it messes the style sheet of the board

 

dude allow me to note something this forum was n IPB 1. soething for a long time and it was fine... then it upgraded to two and I DIDNOT GIVE A DAMN. NOONE CARES WHICH VERSION IT IS SOO LONG AS IT WORKS AND SHOUDL SOME WEIRD EXPLOIT HAPPEN, THIS IS IS BACKED UP DAILY... OH NO, I LOST 7 POSTS... OHH CRAP.

needless to say I don't give a damn, I don't care, and new aesthetics are more important to me than having this board upgraded to a version which seems unstabled, has little development for it, and offers no real advantages.
