Help With Smudge Tool Brush

ok ive seen sum tutorials that give the option to lock and unlock the settings but i cant figure out how here is how my smudge settings come out



I use adobe photoshop 7.0

 

Those are the only 2 settings tou can use with the smudge tool

 

well how do they do this with the smudge tool then ive seen this in a few tutorials

 

That is with photoshop CS or CS2. To smudge with 7 you have to use the brush and select the smudge settings.

 

aw man so i cant do that with 7 well thanks for the help ;(
