http://www.in.gov/legislative/bills/2006/HB/HB1099.3.html The legislature has officially passed this law. It is in effect now. Post your opinions. Myself, I feel that this is great, now the rest of the country needs to follow suit The truth is, people are going to light fireworks whether its legal or not. Making it legal makes it common, and in turn, making it common makes people more educated on the subject which allows for safer use of the fireworks with less injuries and accidents. Once again, Post your comments. Oh, btw, for those not familiar with fireworks, 1.4g are consumer grade fireworks, which specifically are explained in the bill which is now a law.
usually the state law is simply that way because people tend to be idiots on that day (being drunk dumbasses) and there are houses around, dry climates, etc. i like lighting fireworks, and even know cops who dont care about it as long as you do it safely. Where I am, its an extremely dry climate with lots of trees and wood throughout houses (colorado) and launching off basically anything concerning fireworks = no, but if we manage to go to a plain where its basically like an acre or two of dirt, hell yeah, drunken roman candle wars that the cops dont even care about since there is really no danger. personally, i like to obey the laws despite my preivous violations of it. they are usually in place for good reason and because someone else ruined that freedom for you.
Exactly. If people would just learn how to use them responsibly and not throw f'in m80's at each other fireworks wouldnt be so bashed.
yesterday me and my uncle set off huge mortars on the beach in florida the whole beach was turning red but i dont think the security liked it to much
man i wished the let us but fireworks in nsw , but i do agree with the drunk idiot bit i know one that nearly blew his hand off
There are many classes on safe fireworks use. Not all, if any are provided by the government but they are out there. You can get liscened in each category of fireworks (1.3 1.4) and become members of organizations where you can learn how to safely use all kinds of fireworks.
firworks are amazing. i use to wanted to be a pyrotechnic (they build and test the fireworks) untill i found out the pay was pretty s--tty for a high risk job and tryin to find a pyrotechnic employer that supplies life insurance is a joke.
Yea, but there are other kinds of pyrotechnicians, most do not build their own fireworks since there are very very few companies who manufacture inside the United States. Most of it gets done over in China. I would love to be liscensed to shoot 1.3g but its alot of work. Until you work up in the ranks you get to carry around 60 pound mortar racks and do tedious wireing, but if you make it to the top you have employees (slaves) to do it for you and you get to sit around, fire the show's firing panel and take alll of the credit.
lol fireworks cant be sold where i live (DC), but i live bout 10 miles from the VA border so i just go there and pick some up
