I have an old computer, 650mhz, nothing special, that I want to use as a home file server that i can save files onto and allow any computer connected to the network to take files from it.

    I have onboard video, 2 HDD's (30gb and 80gb), 1 DVD-ROM, 1 CD-RW, VIA Samuel CPU (old) 650mhz.

so I don't need much power for this baby...

I need a new PSU (Power Supply) in it. it is quite loud...

I don't need the most expensive, yet I do not want the crappiest one... all it uses is a 20-pin ATX connector, no 4 or 6-pin cpu power or anything.

buy it from anywhere, TD, Newegg, ZipZoomFly, etc.

my budget is around $20-30, dont wanna spend too much on this chitty system....

edit: this might work... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817170012 good reviews...

(oops, pressed the wrong button, mods, can you merge these?)

edit3: currently, I have a Maxpower 300watt PSU on the system. any that say they are quiet will help..

When I needed a new one for my craptastic comp, I just took it into a shop, asked for prices and how much power each one uses. I got the cheaper one for like.. 24 bucks I think. Silent too. o_0

And that was a chinese dealership too cause the canadians over here charge more.

I would go with the one you just posted X. . . It is the best IMO for the money and if you have a server type older system. I been over this with you on MSN though.
