What animes have you known that you can truly say that when it came into gaming world, it became a success? Several anime-based games include Bomberman, Astro Boy, Castlevania Series, Devil May Cry, Digimon, Dragon Ball Z titles, Final Fantasy, Full Metal Alchemist titles, Ghost in the Shell: Stand alone Complex, InuYasha, The Legend of Zelda, Mahou no Princess Minky Momo, Mein Liebe, One Piece: Great Battle, Pokemon, The Quiz Master, Sonic the hedgehog, Sakura Wars, Shaman King, Sailormoon, Tekken titles, and Ranma ½, to name a few. But not all these have been successful in the games. Be realistic. However good the anime from which the game's based on might be, you can't expect that the game will be that good. There have been many video games based on really amazing anime, but not all of them end as popular as the animes, and not as good with gamers as the animes are with their fans. For me I can only say that I like Castlevania and Final Fantasy but I can only vouch for the success of the FF but I dunno with the Castlevania.
Pokémon is THE single biggest succes story in anime history outside of japan at least. And that includes the games. Hell, I'm 15 and I still play Pokémon Crystal when I have nothing to do on vacation =P
they have been some good anime games but there have been craps ones like dragonball z game yes that was sh!t, even though i havnt played it.
Pokemon definitely has had the biggest success. I doubt there's a single person in america that doesn't know who pikachu is. (no clue about other countries)
Most "anime" you listed there are a vice-versa case,ie,they were first games(Final Fantasy,Tekken,Castlevania) and then they came into anime (un)successfully.
