Looks like some sweet stuff. The only suggestions I would have is that you can buy a 7800 GS for less than $50 dollars more. And on newegg ... they have 2 GB (2 x 1 GB) of Corsair RAM cheaper than that OCZ RAM. But I like the stuff your getting.

    7800 GS on sale:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130274

    Corsair RAM on sale:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820145574

Plus when you buy the corsair ram ... you get an extra $10 off a sweet Zalman cooler. These are my few suggestions.

the site you chose oversharges as compared to newegg...

if you plan on OCing definately get this ram, it's cheaper and performs better, I own it and I like it.
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820231021

also, you can get a 6800GS for like 160(on sale, right now its 180) on newegg, would have recomended a 7600 but I doubt you have a PCI-e slot
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130267

can't say anything about your case, wouldn't know

if the case is big enough, try this
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16835154001
it was rated quite high by Maximum PC(perfect score) and google searches showed up similar results

and with the money you saved on the ram and GPU invest it in a better PSU...

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817103931

I'll likely be getting that PSU as well as my friend recomended it

also, don't f' with mail in rebates unless you can stand waiting like 6 months or are willing to take a risk that it hasn't expired. I ordered my ram when it had a 40$ mail in rebate advertised along with it and I never got any documentation and the offer was expired by the time i called customer support.

molex is just the connector to connect you psu to your things like a hd. Its really simple.

Get this case/psu combo. It looks good I own one. Had really good ventilation, it runs cool and very quiet. The psu it has is a really good quality one too.

Get 2gb of generic ram instead of ocz performance. Just get the cheapest.

I have heard good things about Patriot RAM and it is pretty cheap. On newegg they have specials on it all the time. Also, if you wanted to upgrade to a PCI-E motherboard, the graphics cards tend to be cheaper than for AGP.

patriots a good company, but most of the time they aren't the cheapest. right now the best bang/$ is the g. Skill ram I recomended, it's something like 15$ more than the cheapest DDR400 ram yet its DDR 500

try this card since your limited to AGP

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814131010

at stock it's almost as powerfull as the 6800, but if your able to unlock the pipelines, wich you should be able to do do a majority of the time, it will be a fair amount mroe powerful. The only disadvantage of the card is it uses pixel shader 3 insteed of pixel shader 2.0. though unless you really want HDR in games other than HL2 lost coast and the like it shouldn't matter a ton.

I think they are 50$ above retail.

wait, I lied, the 6800XT is on newegg for 100$ after rebate, so that makes the xt 100$ above retail, even then it's just a standard 6800 with a higher clock and fewer pipelines.

the 6800 is a great GPU design, but you realize it isn't the best it has it's strengths and weaknesses. the 6800Ultra used to be King(and 500$) but a 7600gt outperforms it.

if you're going to insist on a 6800, get it from newegg for 60$ less... beter yet get the 7600.

still recomending the x800GTO given your situation, it's a great card and to an extent I regret dropping the money to get a 7800GT over getting the x800.

FYI a 7900 GT more or les sperforms on par with two 6800s for slightly less.

really though, you should just toss the 600-100$ you would have wasted on an overpriced above retail 6800 on a new motherboard. You sound like you are like obsessed with it(atleast from any site other than newegg) what did you do brag to your friends for like 10 months how you were gonna get a 6800?
