Holy crap ... I was just browsing on newegg and came across this card and though I should share it with you.

Arguably one of the best cards out ... the 7900 GTX has 512mb of memory and is 256 bit ... but check out THIS
beast! It has 1 GB of video memory and is 512-bit!!! This is the first 512-bit card I have ever seen. The only problem is that it is a workstation card ... so it probably wont be too good for gaming. If it is good for gaming though ... it would be amazing. :D

wow nice d00d... you must get insane FPS in HL1...

that card is made for 3d rendering not gaming... you will be sorely disapointed.

Yeah there are plenty of cards that seem better than cards like the 7900 gtx, but they are meant for 3d studio max and stuff.

It was "Workstation" on the box. :P

why would you possibly need a $1500 card for just 3d rendering etc. ugh, thats a lot to pay for that.

I mean hey ... if the company really wanted to get it :D ... ya ... if only they could make a gaming gfx card like that ... probably in a year or two.

I'm guessing none of you have heard of the 7900GX2. It is a dual-core 7900GTX card with 1024MB of GDDR3 memory, and it has the capacity for SLI. That would effectively give you 4 7900GTXs in your computer, for the low price of $2000.

Also keep in mind that it is used for rendering 3-D animation.

some renders when finalizing will take up to 10 hrs+ on a top of the line machine, now take that one frame, and multiply it by how many you need to make a movie, and youll see why these cards exist.

3D modelling programs wont let you spend that much time on one movie though anymore, with baking and stuff like that, but these cards will still take time to render things, no matter how u look at it.
