Ok my PS2 and computer are right next to each other and I want to connect my PS2 online. My computer is wireless to a router about 150 feet away and I can't get a wireless ethernet gaming adapter right now. So i was wondering if I could connect the PS2 to the PC and share the connection. Could a set up my PC as a gateway and how? If this is possible any way please tell me. I can't get a cross over cable to work
no, that will not work. cant you move your PS2 closer to the router? you cannot set your computer as a gateway, i believe...

I know there is something out that you can plug into your wall outlet to extend your wireless to that outlet. It has a port on the bottom for a wired connection but I'm not sure how much it is. Its probably not cheap though.
try getting a Wireless Ethernet Bridge and then connect the Ethernet cable to the playstation and the bridge and that should work hope this helps
Well i have made some progress. I plugged a crossover etherenet cable from the ps2 to the PC. Then on the wireless Network adapter in network connections I enabled internet connection sharing. Then my ps2 connected and i got online a played a few games and cussed at people on the mic. The i logged off cuz i had to eat dinner. then i try to connect again but it can't authenticate DNAS data and now my pc internet does notwork. it says it's connected but it won't work. it worked be4 but why not now? I have to use another pc for internet now.
By using the internet for the ps2 instead of your computer without using a router you'll have to sacrfice internet on one comp or the other. My suggestion is get a 4 port router so you can hook it all up at once and still share the connection.
