It all depends on what you want.

If you want a good, fun handheald with great games then get the DS.

If you want a good multimedia handheald with PS2 games get the PSP.

    It's not like

    good games: DS
    multimedia: PsP

    It's more like

    mario/yoshi/pokémon: DS
    GTA,Burnout,Socom,ToS,WipeOut,Movies,Images,Interntet browser: PsP

I own both systems since launch (imported the PsP)

I only have 2-3 games for both, but I'm still daily playing the PsP while the DS hasn't left it's current position since about 1 week after I got it. Even if you like Nintendo style mini/puzzle games. There's Katamari, Sudoku etc

I'd go for the Psp, but you might wanna check the DS in a store, it really depends on what you like better..

I wanted a PSP for homebrew, butits harder to get a 1.0-2.0 now, and I hate the idea of having to use GTA as a sort of bootdisk

I would have to say PSP, My cousin bought a DS because of the Mario games, he said he didn't like it becuse of the bad gameplay and stuff, so he bought a PSP.
