Ok, I am REALLY pissed off.

Thanks to my dad who decided to click on a pop up, we now have a pop up that occurs every minute or so in Firefox with some random ad.

Now I've scanned the computer on all profiles with the LATEST updates of Ad-Aware and Spybot - Search and Destry, immunized and quanrantined everything and raped every file in the whole computer.

    To no avail.

Norton AV 2005 deleted all the bad files except the one thats bothering me...I can't even delete it manually. I edited the code in it but I can't save it...mother----ed. Gonna have to format.

WHY IS LIFE SO HARD?! WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX THIS!?

press f8 to get into safe mode and usually you can delete it manually there. you should also do online virus scan at trendmicro.housecall.com once you get rid of problem.

k, here is what you do in this order exactly

    check startup programs, run>>"msconfig"
turn off system restore and restart in safe mode f8(or just restart while windows is loading)
run every virus scan known to mankind and reinstal firefox. do as many windows updates as possible
    reformat your harddrive
    install linux or solrais

    congrats, no more viruses.

Press Contol Alt Delete and then go to Processes, find the ad program in there and go to End Process, hope that helped
