yea, you go into your router's admin controls, go to something the says port forward and port forward whatever the hell you need..

    I would like to disagree...

O.k. calm down guys, ill try and explain this best i can (i can't login to my router homepage, but i have the same router... my brother changed the pw and i havent gotten around to resetting and putting the settings back.)

    1. go to 192.168.1.1

    2. By default, username = admin and password = admin . If you have edited that and you cant remember, go to the back of your router and there should be a 'reset' button, hold it down for 5 seconds. This will reset everything back to factory defaults. Warning, if you do that, you will have to change a bunch of settings to get internet back. If you have to do that, please wait for a time where we can go into more detail on how to get all the settings back in workable order.

    3. Go the 'Applications And Gaming'.

    4. You will see a few rows to imput info. One should be like 'Name'. You can put anything there, that is just a reminder to what you have opened the port for. Next should be 'Starting Port', you will put '27015'. Next row is 'Ending Port'. For this, to be most secure, put '27015'. But out of a nice coinvience, if you change you port to 27016 on your server in the later future, and you put '27016' under 'Ending Port', then this will save you the trouble of having to open that port later on. But if you want to be most secure, keep 'Starting' and 'Ending Port' the same, this way you have no open ports for a hacker to exploit. Next should be a 'Port Type' or something like that. For that, you would put UDP, but once again, for a coinvience, you can leave it as 'Both' if you ever run something that needs '27015 TCP' open also... but i doubt you ever would, so just leave that as 'UDP'.

    5. Next you should see an ip going like '192.168.1.___', the three underscrolls being a place for you to enter 3 numbers. This ip is the router's default gateway. You can find this by going to the routers homepage or going to Run -- cmd -- then type 'ipconfig' (no quotes). You will fill in the last three digits respectivly to what you see.

    6. There mix be a checkbox way to the right, i dont remember exactly without looking at it. I think its for 'Enable' or vice versa, I'm sure you can make the right decsion.

    7. Click Save.

    8. When you get back to the 'Applications and Gaming' page, you should see links to two pages... the first one your already on... called 'Port Fowarding' and the second one called 'DMZ'. click 'DMZ'. On that page make sure DMZ is enabled and if there is a place to type an ip. type the same ip your 'Default Gateway' is.

Should work from there, I could be a bit more detailed, but I'm doing this all by memory
