Well, I posted this on codedFX too (view it Here) And I thought you guys here might be intersted in it too... so here it is: Well, this is a question that I have asked some people, and they say that forever does not have a begginging.. somthing like.. "we'll be in this cave forever" meaning from this point, we will always be in this cave... but my view is somthing like "The universe has been here forever".. meaning it has always been here, and always will, with no starting date, and no ending date... so does "Forever" have a beginning? you decide.
within my logic, yes it does have a begining, and no it does not have a begining.. without a begining, there is no existence without existence, there is no actuality without actuality, there is nothing to be labeled forever. to be "forever" takes 2 things, actuality (being there/ existing), and time. forever has no begining, it is relevant with time, time is a circle, no begining no end. Forever is not a tangible object therefor it was never created, nor had to be The act of being forever is impossible without a begining, but the actual continuum of forever is infinite. get me?
time to boil some minds: alright, the universe we know was created by an explosion of every particle of matter in the universe known as A Big Bang, according to science at least. Due to this we can assume that eventually, the entire universe will implode onto itself once again, the gravitational pull acting as a universal reset button. this will then explode once again, most likely in a completely random and unspeakably different way, creating a new spectrum of galaxies and worlds we will never be able to experience in our lifetime. that universe will implode apon itself and explode again, and again, and again, until the life we have this very second is replicated again. ever wonder what da ja vu is?
I understand, but one thing. You say "time" has no beginning, nor an end.... but what about this.. we see time by the sun. 12 noon - sun is directly overhead- halfway though the day... but what about, before the universe, there were no stars, suns ect.. so how was there "time?"
i cannot speculate what science has yet to discover. but if you want what i think theres here it is: for the big bang to occour we know that we need tangible objects for gravity to take place and compress eventually creating the big bang. so just hypothetically lets say there was dust and small matters in space created from the dust. At that point there is already time. time is like a measurement, and all you need is a tangible object and space. How long does it stay in one place or if it moves how long does it take to get from point A to point B. Thats time in work. BUT. if there was nothing, ABSOLUTY nothing- then time would not exist, because in my opinion, time exists only relation to where it occures, and it needs only one spec of dus, one particle. but we know since matter has been here, then so has time.
