How Do You Password Protect Files?

    i have folders on my computer running xp , that i want to keep private but still let people on to my user on my comp. could someone please tell me how to password protect folders??

    i dont know other than to have them make different log in names on the comp, thats all i can think of

    Use the link red alert posted or just make the folders hidden, and when you want to access them just type in the path of the folder in your address bar.

    also u can just hide them

    by making a folder in the c:/

    and hide the files in that folder int he c drive or in a software folder

    Always works
