I would go for Iriver mate, you have a lot more diskspace. For Ipods, you are just buying the name, whilst you can get a Ipod 2gb nano for 150 pounds, you can get an 8gb/10gb iriver for the same price!
Or they are trendwhores actually having an mp3 player is trendy, I think im going to go back to my CD player, im much more badass with that
i dont care what you say about the ipod, a circle scroll wheel is much more favorable to my then a vertical scroll wheel
same reason why most PC users buy Pentium 4s and pentium Ds... wait nvm, that's marketting. amount of budget Apple spends on devloping audio technology: .1% amount of budget Creative spends of developing Audio technology: 90%
then what is so much better about the sound frlom the Zen and the iPod? i cant imagine that much better sound, can i? and i guess that leaves out the idea of the videos on the Zen since they are so wrapped up in audio technology, no? oh but wait, they do have video possiblities in some models... so only 10% going into video technology... that cant be to good of quality...
I thought sound was number one.... I mean if you listen to music, you want good sound quality, right? Creative has been in the sound arena for a long time... Apple, eh, they have Quicktime, which may mean better video... the best of both worlds would be a Zen Ipod...
Not true anymore. I was at the store the other day choosing a new mp3 player, and it came down to the iPod 30gig or Zenvision:m 30gig. Both were equally priced at $300. It was actually disapointing to see creatives prices up with apples, but the fact still remains thats the prices now.
then on top of this, we can get into weights, dimensions, both of which the ipod wins. then you could say the headphones that come with the ipod... they are nice imo. so there is more to just marketing here, maybe some of us really like the ipod more?
I hate the headphones, my friend busted a firecracker near my face and i yanked my head and broke my headphones >.< Supposedly the Creative Zen can hold more songs even though it has the same capacity as the Video, if you go to their websites.
wouldnt it matter about the amount of size of software on the mp3 player? my ipod is technicly 30 gb, but it says 'max 27.8'. i'm either one guessing its like that thing with hard drives... like says its 300 gb but in reality is 279 gb. its either that or 2.2 gb worth of software etc.
the headphones that come with ipods look better than they perform. toss in a good 40-50$ set of headphones onto a zen and you will be amazed, toss the same set onto an Ipod and the diference isn't as profound. Sound wise, Creative wins.
