Really Need Help

    i have a virus named New Malware.j in the file C:\WINDOWS\System32\nvctrl.exe

    and i cant get rid of it ;(
    my mcafee thing pops up every time i close it but this is what it shows...

    I have searched google but not found a way to get rid of this virus, and its highly irritating ;( if anyone could help id be greatful pleaseeeee :(

    hmmm... well just close the mcafee, switch to another antivirus and see if you can delete(thats all i know, btw its a trojan it doesnt do much)

    i installed avast and did the startup boot scan it worked great, thanks a lot man <3

    yep, that thing does wonders... weird how the greatest stuff is free, and the 2nd best is paid....

    Have you tried booting into safe mode and deleting the file(s) that way? I would try that first. If that doesnt work, I will look around for a tool to help remove it.

    he fixed it...

    @ ale- i'm talking about suking programs like Norton...

    Avast > AVG > McAffee > all oth AVs > Norton

    Norton does suck..although it does provide the best real-time protection..it takes up a lot of power... <_<

    StopZILLA is good for adware and hijackers, if thats what you have.
