Just today, we had power fluctuations, where the power would turn on and off many times, in different lengths of time, and a power outage for an hour and a half. So, I want to protect this baby... I need a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Can you lot help me pick one? I would need one with about 500-1000 Watts I need it around $100, a few dollars over wont kill me, but be reasonable.. I'll just use it to have enought time to shut down my system the right way...
Dont really know much about UPS's but this one is nice, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16842107114 If you want to stick around youre budget then get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16842107113
I think one of these two.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16842107140 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16842102042 CyberPower one lasts much longer. Opti might be more reliable but it only lasts 30-40 minutes compared to 35-105 of cyberpowers. Note: I do not have any experiance with this! EDIT: Oops.. Missed this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16842107113 That seems new best. Good Reviews, nice specs as far as I can see...eh
I have a cyber power, that works pretty good. We got it for around 70 or 80 dollars I believe. Sorry, I cant link it but I'd go with a CP. They are very dependable and even lasted longer then it said on the box
Thx, I'll get the CP then, unless anyone else has anything to say. @Diablo- I don't really care how long it stays on, I just want to have 5-10 minutes to save my data and shut down my system, so I don't have to do an illegal shut down (just disconnecting the power).
