Why? (credits)

I dont understand how people can post so and so PSDs etc etc for something like credits. People act like its money why cant everyone just share and be cool about it all. Sorry for not spaming your (our) forums to get credits to pay you for your stuff :/ thats so emo..

Guess I cant learn any good techniques because I wont spam this forum to BUY a tutorial..

I dont see people on deviant art doing this crap, lots do wonderful work and share it with a community.

Let me ask you something if you were poor and needed medical attn and someone rich needed the same medical attn as you then got it 1st because he was richer then you would you say oh thats fair and wonderful!?

There are a lot of good FREE tuts....just most people have AWESOME tuts....in fact, they are pretty much the BEST...and then it is only fair they get something out of it from people that want to use it. They spent a LOT of time on it.....its kinda only fair,

But there are lots of good tuts in the Premium and Regular Tutorial section.

 

i understand what you feel... In old times almost everybody was sharing almost everything with others. Few months ago fashion for selling tuts started and now 60% of Offers and Request are tutorial sell threads.

It's not good but as Necro said there are still ppl who are giving great tutorials for free

People sell Credits for real money. Someone is selling 20000 Credits and already has $75

 

The ironic thing is that if you were in that situation with a rich person beside you, the richer person would most likely get attention first.

Everyone understands how you feel about tutorials being priced but that fact of the matter is that people work hard on tutorials and designing. They should get some kind of reward even if it's forum credits which don't amount to anything in real life.

There's plenty of free tutorials in those sections. Just go there.

That's all you need.

People sell tutorials because no one really appreciated the work that went in to them in the first place

back in the day it was nothing to give willingly to a renderer or a tutorial writer now its like pulling teeth hence why they are now sold most of the time

people have become credit hungry thats the way it goes

 

I get more rep on top of getting credits from those people who are wiling to buy tutorials over releasing free tutorials. I find alot of people with the same reasoning, its not so much the credits they want, its the lack of appreciation for releasing good/great work for free to everyone that makes them feel like charging them.

 

People don't show appreciation to the effort you put into for them nowadays, back in those good ol days people compliment, and even rep you for making a tutorial, nowadays people don't do that anymore, therefore selling a tut to those who want it, in return to gain something else besides the compliment and respect.

but. yea, its kind of strange how people are about money or what is like money.. i guess it wouyld be different for people who treat creds like cash. maybe its all theve got.

 

people now a days one things to be FREE.. FREE Hosting, FREE Domains, FREE Tuts, FREE Templates, etc.

nothing is free in the world. There is always a price.

Well, i think people sold their tuts because, IMO

- people dont appreciated the tuts maker work
- ripped it and claim thats is theirs
- many more [i dunno]

 

Your only saying this because you have no creds.
Plus, the richer person would get the treatment first, t's sometimes fair as money is sometimes EARNED.

 

i think people sell things to make it not whored

if you are giving a master leet tutorial out for free
everyone ,even the beginners gonna use your tutorial
and you'll see it everywhere
and then its not that cool anymore

 

why would you care if it gets whored? if your good enough to make one whored style, simply make a different tutorial that can be whore and will be whored... problem solved... we just need about 20-30 of those and there would be enough diversity between them... hell, if you want the current 'pro' signature (trendwhore signature, used to be like alias' soft grunge tut), simply do this:

1. Gradient
2. Drop render
3. Put in masses of C4D
4. erase C4D to make it look good
5. adjustment layers
6. border/text
