LOL , but if you read the post ubove youd notice that im updating 2 or 3 times this year and the 1 or 2 times next year
Yeah, okay.... you are upgrading an E-Machine not once, not twice, not even three, but maybe 8 times.... okay... this thread gets more enjoyable every second.
I've had an hp crap on me, only working parts left are the optical drive, the case, the IDE ribbons, and the RAM(CPU/Mobo might work, but it's reading 80C for the proc in BIOS) The Dells at school ---- out all the time though.
The thing is... we sit here and tell you how NOT to upgrade this thing and you sit here and tell us you might upgrade it MORE... You REALLY need to just save your money... if it is burning THAT much a hole in your pocket take it the ---- out of your pocket and put it under your matress and say. "If you touch that money Imma kill your ass!" To yourself ofcourse... and then let it multiply underneath there (Not litterally you have to work and put more under it). Then you can buy something worth moding OR make your own and then we can help you... untill then we can only help you by saying DONT MOD THIS DAMN THING DAMNIT!!! We are not trying to be mean... it IS a bit of common sence though... if it is a computer from Staples fine, Best Buy, fine but, not something I can buy at Wal*Mart. Now, we are laughing at you, yes. But, we are also trying to save you WASTED MONEY and troubles... since you said you were already having an issue with money and troubles to start with!!!!!
figured out a good way for you to get the most enjoyment out of your setup http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5393904704265757054
sord, just keep a close eye on the newspaper for a Fry's add. for 100$ you can get: AMD Sempron 2400+ 128mb Ram 40GB HDD CD Burner then just toss 30$ into adding 512mb more ram and 60$ into a GeForce 5500 200$ total. might need a better PSU but for 200$ you can't complain.
Well i ordered them before you guys said not to and i only got that gfx card cause i had $30 for bestbuy only, and i did say i will re upgrade the gfx card, and when i said ill upgrade it more that means it wont be emachines anymore it will be better.
don't bother "upgrading" this setup. just leave it as is as a spare computer. it is still perfectly good for general use right now I'm typing this on something less powerfull than it(well only slightly K700mhz 128mb ram) sord, just save your cash, don't btoher with that case it's garbage and verify all components you desire to get. I know more about hardware than you but I still run all my purchases through here. I've seen Xmaster and Defusion do it as well.
Eventully itll be better im mapping out my complete costom setup for when i gain more money and can update again, your sitting here telling me not to order the parts and im telling you i already have, and your still telling me not to buy the parts, and i did verifie and a few smart people told me that this new setup would be an upgrade compared to the one i have
what parts DO you have and which do you not have? so far you need to replace the follwoing CPU/mobo(assuming you are using that 900mhz celeron) PSU, GFX card(assuming you are using the 4400) ram FYI, it doesn't matter if it is technically an upgrade from what you do have if your paying too much for it. the $300 special form Dell is an upgrade from what you have in all aspects. We're just saying plan it out better. What do you ahve and what do you plan to get.
i suggest you give up all these stuff and start up by giving us a budget and we will set up the best setup for you
