How do I allocate ram to photoshop?

Because I have a sig, which is 4201 KB, but when I open it it says I dont have enough RAM.

    How do I allocate it?

How much RAM do you have?

and are you running CS or CS2?

from my experience, you woul want at least 1gb of ram for CS, then 2gb for Cs2 to be on the safe side...

Yeah, you will need more RAM to run that unless you want to do something (and can) piece by piece. Other than that, it takes quite a bit to run it.

I use system manage... it alows everything to be setup and it alocates the RAM so that it sets max when needed etc..

Yes, that is a possibility... it also depends on what size of stuff you are making, what other programs are running, what kind of hard drive you have, what RP your HDD is, how many GB or TB your HDD is. It just all depends. So you can run it on a 512 but it ALLLLL depends. ;)

Edit -> Preferences -> Memory & Image Cache

Use the dropdown slider or type in a percentage.
