It is good that their releasing their songs for download, but hey, they too need $ for thier effort in making their song, so I don't think all of it will be free, only a few of it from their album.

less popular bands have to do someting to get in the spotlight, nice way to become more famous.
But i think it won't take long, once they are more famous they want to make money like other bands.

well there are a lot of bands that do this. if you all search google for Roadrunner records (its a lable) you will get there main web site. From there you go to music and chose your artist. This lable have band such as: Slipknot, Ill nino, Trivium, Cradle os filth, Nickleback, Theory of a deadman.....

I think it's kinda stupid because they need money to keep on going.

They'll make more in the end result, if they play their cards right - people will see the few songs legal for download, buy the rest of the album, and those dudes cash in. It's a good marketing play for them. ^_^

omg, a newb actually posted a good and relevant post

But yeah, I think it could do well for the bands. Just as long as they only let a few tracks up for grabs.

its good for newcomers. im sure lots of other bands got there star hit using this method. plus i am open to most music so i enjoy it when bands promote themselves this way.
