Public Enemy - It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back The Album It Takes A Nation Of Millions.. was released back in 1988 by hip-hop group, Public Enemy. A very influential album for hip-hop music, the sample-heavy beats, and Chuck D's revolutionary lyrics rebelled against racism, police brutality and corporate control. This album seems built on aggression, while some of their future albums (mainly Apocalypse '91) had more focused means of delivering their message. The Artwork The Songs Countdown To Armageddon Just an intro song. Bring The Noise One of the best songs they ever made, alot better than the one they did with Anthrax. A quite hectic sounding song with great lyrics from frontman, Chuck D. Don't Believe The Hype One of their more popular and well known songs as it was released as a single. Has Flava Flav doing the chorus. Great beats and as always, some good lyrics. Cold Lampin' With Flavor I love this song, Flava Flav solo. Crazy song with some mad lyrics from Flava. Terminator X to the Edge of Panic Some amazing scratching on this song and one of the best beats on the album. Mind Terrorist A short instrumental song, I actually really quite like this one, the skills of the Bomb Squad really shine on this one. Louder Than a Bomb Definately one of my favourite's from them, a great beat and some brilliant lyrics from Chuck D. Caught, Can We Get A Witness? I think this is the best song on the album. The beat is absolutely brilliant on this song, as are the lyrics, Chuck's voice seems to flow on this song. Show 'Em Watcha Got Another instrumental, not as good as Mind Terrorist, but still good. The beat and instruments sound sadder to me and everything sounds good together. She Watch Channel Zero?! An angry song about television. Heavy metal guitars playing and a hectic chorus. Not one of my favourites. Night of the Living Baseheads Another ----ing brilliant song from them, brilliant lyrics and a great beat make another Public Enemy single. Amazing. Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos A story of a prison escape with a slightly less busy beat and some good lyrics from Chuck. Another single. Security of the First World Another instrumental, I think it's the weakest of the three instrumentals on the album. Rebel Without a Pause What can I say? Classic song. One of their most famous (if not their most famous) songs. Aggressive lyrics from Chuck D with some brilliant beats from the Bomb Squad. Prophets of Rage Good scratching on this song with yet another great beat. Party for Your Right to Fight A more happy sounding song with some good sampling. Rating This album has been titled as the best they ever made and has even been included in the Q Magazine Top 100. As a hip-hop album is amazing, but as a political message it's just as good. For any of you who believe that G-Unit is what hip-hop is all about, listen to this. 5/5 Resource(s) Wikipedia
