Bit of an open-ended question i think...

    Games?

Well.. the only advice i can give you is to get ya hands on a copy of Flash MX 2004 or get the new Flash 8

I'm still using MX04 and havn't merged to the new version yet but i plan to soon...

The code they use in Flash is called Actionscript....

Its veeeeery easy to learn and u can accomplish soooo much with it... from games to websites

    HTML + AS2 = quality assured work ^_^

    [end rant]

    Well said Grunt.

I recommend starting along the same lines of what Grunt suggested. Once mastered and depending on what kinda games you intend on making, (myself is 1st person) I like the Unreal Engine.

If you really wanna take it seriously then get 3DSMax and when you are totally hooked then fawk out for Maya, bad ass program.

Overall though I make most my games with a pencil and notepad, noughts & crosses being a personal fav.

Maybe animate using 3D Studio Max, they have that program in my school and you can make some really good animations if you have the experience and creativity.
