The place I live seems very safe and clean. There is a special route where everyone goes at night and walks after dinner. It's like a three mile circle around the whole place. The other night though, my sister and I were walking and it suddenly got dark. Half of the streetlights were out and it got pretty spooky. Where I grew up in California, I lived in a very racially mixed neighborhood- I guess nowadays it would be called "lower middle-class". White, black... people from Mexico, Vietnam, Russia, Germany, Japan... and now I actually feel safer and more comfortable in a place where there is a mix of people.
umm well, I live half a block away from a community gold course, a half block from a park, half a block from a school. Property value of houses is between 800,000-1.5million yeah definately a horrible place to live.
i live in a rich prick area, though im not rich. Put it this way, the average home in my area is about $500,000 (my house is worth about 175,000), and the kids that live in average or above, pound it in (not literally, because they are all babies) that they are better than you. Im considered poor when my mom brings in about $35,000/yr without a college education (not bad, and shes only worked at this place like 6 years). The high end can range into the multiple millions (about 3 of every 5 homes in a couple of the sub-divisions can range into the 2-5 million range) and the low end can range from 150K-250K. No real "kids" live in my area, most of them live in the richer part of town. We have a lot of college aged or fresh out of college living in my general area as well as a lot of elderly people (cheap houses, relatively quiet neighborhood). Im about 30 seconds drive into the main portion of the city im in (there area few parts that we refer to locally, the central portion of town takes about 15 minutes to get there). Typical white surburban neighborhood I guess. My mom and I are kind of the misfits. She rides a harley and i hang out with the goth rockers/metalheads and yeah... Its a nice neighborhood, but as you can tell im getting really pissed off with the snobby rich kids who get brand new luxury cars like BMW, Volvo, Lexus, Jaguar (yes, literally, 16 y/os drive around in brand spanking new jaguars). But I am fine as for where I used to live, so no real complaints outside the snobs, oh and gas prices (they are higher here by about $0.30/gallon compared to a 20 minute drive towards central colorado, or denver). But on the positive side (since ive been mainly negative), everything is closely grouped, the neighborhood is extremely friendly, rarely is there theft, drug busts, murders, etc. around here. It is really different from the area i grew up (downtown LA - Garmet District) where virtually every major crime committed in LA happened. The cops are nice (i know about half the force from run ins, mainly curfew, but some other stuff too) and the adults in the area are really cool. They tend to be really nice and helpful, just their kids are pricks...
I live in the frickin sticks... 15 mins from Orlando.. Saint Cloud/Narcoossee, no one has EVER heard of ht, and no one wants to.
If i hear one person start bragging about how they live in the ghetto and we aint seen nothing im gonna hit you. I hate people who want sympathy and think there bad asses. Just a warning I live in Roswell, Georgia. Its like 40 minutes north of Atlanta. Its a rich area and it hink was in like the top 100 places to live one year
I live in an area that is zoned as trailer park, but there are more 2 storys than actual mobile homes. The next street pver is what we refer to as 'the redneck ghetto' which is all trailers, inbreds, pedophiles, and rapists live over there. Then, about 5 minutes up the highway we have greenwood ars...which is the 'gangsta ghetto'. Its the definition ov poverty and 'ghetto'ness.
