if it's a program or a game, daemon tools should mount it for use, if it's a movie, i'd use vlc media player to watch it. isobuster will basically unzip the file for you. nero is used to burn it for use as a regular cd. for example, there are several file extensions like .iso there are:

.nri, .nr3, .nrw, .nr4, .nra, .nrm, .nre, .nrv, .nsd, .nrd, .nmd, .nhv, .nrb, .nrs, .nrh, .nru, .nrc, and .nrh - all mostly cd compilations

    the more common are:

    .iso, .nrg, and .cue

if you burn this file alone to a cd, it will run the designated program/game/move

for instance, i have TheTransporter2.nrg on my computer downloaded, i open up nero, go to burn image, and select the file, then just click burn, and now it works in my dvd player. however, i don't believe these work in playstations. .nrg won't for me, and i also have Jarhead in .iso format, but it won't work in there too, only on a dvd player

well, you could do that, or, you could also zip the file and put it on megaupload or rapidshare and just write down the link, but that'd probably take a bit longer

Can I just get this straight though, if I burn the iso file to the CD when I put the CD back into my PC will it run as if its the actual CD from the program or as if its a CD with a iso file on.....?
If you see what I mean.

I get your problem. With normal programs, you will just burn the .iSO file on the cd, and it wont work as a real CD. I recommend Nero 7, it has an option to burn a iSO file on the CD and then it will really work just as a normal CD.

If you want to use the game/program, without spending a CD, get deamon tools. I use it, it's fast and free. I'll write a tutorial soon about using deamon tools and nero.

Okay this'll take some time because I formatted and have to re-install PS & Nero ;)

Now I assume you want to burn them on a cd. Okay, get Nero 7 here:
    http://httpdl5.de.nero.com/software/nero7/...7.0.8.2_eng.exe
and install it. Switch to CD Modus(TOP) (KK wait, installing nero too ) :P
Goto the tab backup and then burn image to cd, or something, click it, select the iSO file and burn :)

    fairly simple for daemonz tools...

    1. Load Daemonz tools. once done, you should see a green/red lightning bolt in your tool tray.
    2. Right click it and go up to Virtual CD/DVD-ROM
    3. Once hovered over that, you'll see 'Set number of drives'. I set mine to one since i only use one program with this (warcraft iii.) Setting it to one is like having 1 extra cd/dvd-rom drive, 2 would be like having 2 extra, and so-on.
    4. Go back to Virtual CD/DVD-ROM, and select 'DEVICE 0: [F]: No Media'. This says No Media if you have nothing mounted. once you mount something, it will change to 'DEVICE 0: [F]: ".img name"'. By the way, the '0' in 'DEVICE 0' and the '[F]' are subject to change. For instance, if I have two Drives set, my list shows:
    DEVICE 0: [F]: D:\WC3.IMG and....
    DEVICE 1: : No Media
    5. Ok, now hover over the Drive that you would like to mount the image to, and then select 'Mount Image'. That will bring up a box to select the image you want mounted on your Virtual Drive.
    6. It should autostart the CD (just as if a CD has entered thru the actual cd-ROM) if you have auto-start enabled (Right-Click the lightning bolt -- Options -- Autostart).

I think thats all you need to know, i just run my warcraft image file by defaults, and im all set. if you have any questions when using it, dont be shy to ask.
