ok, I put my computer on stand-by when not using it... I leave it on there for 30 minutes, click a key on the keyboard, it comes back to life, but the network is screwed... I try to repair it, change IP, everything. the only way I can get the network back up is if I restart, then it goes back to normal my thoughts: when the computer goes to sleep for a prolonged time, my nic is brain dead until i do CPR.... I'll try getting a new pci nic, see if that helps... anyone know a solution?
yes, what would that have to do with anything though? I've uised it for awhile now with no problems...
hmm that used to happen to me.... are you using a router? i dont know wtf happened though, it just started to work again... it would be a firewall also.
well, its not the router, i could get onto it with another computer... not the firewall, have the same on boith systems.. could be just be the onboard nic...
