New Computer

    Ok well im thinking of getting a new computer, i want one already built lol but when it comes to comps i aint a clue what im looking for, i want it to have the following:

    will run bf2 smoooooooooothly

    is uber fast

    have a wicked case with neon lights(LOL)

    my price limit is around $1000 =/

    please help me out to find one :D

    might be hard to find a desktop that can be really uber fast and play bf2 for a 1000. say you bought the stuff sepratly, we would show you what to buy etc, and built it yourself, you could definally get a nice computer. ill go look around for some good 1000$ish computers for ya.

    ok, here, i think i like this one, well not really, but some of its specs are good.

    for around $800, you get a solid athlon x2 3800+, gb of ram, the whole shabang, just no monitor (hope you werent wanting one). only downside is, i dont think the radeon x600se is great enuff to play bf2 on high settings (i think, maybe defuzion can comment on that.) but since its $800, you can spend the remaining $200 on like a geforce 6600GT/GS. found a good $200 6600GS here:

    It would be better in the long run to just build your own computer (there are guides everywhere) but ill look on newegg for some prebuilt ones also.

    He said he wanted one pre-built..

    johndapunk found you a pretty decent deal, but if you want to have a decent frame rate on BF2, either you, or a local computer shop will have to replace the video cards. :)

    err, what was i thinking suggesting that gfx card? here, this one is cheaper and the specs show it as better.

    plus its eVga, so if you want a better card, you can use their 90-day-stepup program

    really the only bad thing about the card i just suggested is 1) its 128 mb graphic interface and 2) it has 4 less pipelines. but if you look at it, it has a faster memory clock and i think, without looking, a faster core clock. might not be as efficent (heat etc.), but it is a solid card.
