haven't seen a post for this and i searched and couldn't find one either. this isn't exactly graphics, so that's why it's in the General Discussion area. anyways..

Right now i have a TI-83 Plus, TI-83 Plus Silver Edition, TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, TI-89 Titanium, IO to IO cable, TIUSB to TIUSB cable, and TIUSB to PCUSB cable.

i do a bit of programming on there, for now, mostly in BASIC, but i'm learning ASM as well, not going to bother with C++. if anyone needs help with programming or just their calculator in general, post here and maybe me or someone else can help. there's an area in my shop to request programs for the TI, but keep in mind, it'll be in BASIC, so if you want a program made, i suggest it be for math class, or a simple more than likely text based game, i'm not that advanced. i have however made my own version of XP for the calculator. it only allows one username with password entry (easily deletable however), and not that many programs will run in it, just ones written in BASIC or the few ASM programs that can run by ASM(prgmNAME). the progams are selected by their icons, you start in the top left corner and can scroll through them.you use Y= for the Start menu (still in progress) an the Graph button to exit. but like i said, if you need a program for math class, give me the details and i'll whip something up and if you don't have to cables to transport it, i'll give you a .txt document so you can enter it in yourself, one where you just have to enter A,B, and C for the quadratic formula y= B plus o minus the square root of B squared minus four times A times C all divided by two times A, stuff like that, and it will graph it for you and everything.

by the way, if anyone has TI-Graph Link and could send it to me somehow, i'd give creds, thanks.

My TI-83 Plus Silver Edition contents:

    Casino App.
    Chess App.
    MirageOS App.
    FinnPack App.
    PuzzPack App.
*Apps. (Applications) are normally used to apply (hints the name) certain things such as programs (MirageOS is a program organizer application, Casino and Chess are actual games, don't know why they were made into Apps, Finn and PuzzPack are collections of games, but there are many other Apps that do things such as graph conics, serve as an address book, display the periodic table and all it's contents, and many more)

Programs under MirageOS: (33 in total)
Aspirin (black dot, go to white hole, dodge moving black lines)
    Avalanch (person avoiding falling stalagtites)
Bangbang (BASIC two buildings, choose velocity and speed to shoot other)
    Battleship (common sense)
Cash 3 (BASIC lotto game written by me)
    Connect 4 (common sense)
Donkey Kong (NES version - common sense)
Dodgeball (same as Avalanche, but balls fall instead of stalagtites)
Duckhunt (NES version - common sense)
Falldown (ball falls through level after level of bricks with empty areas, must keep going through empty areas to progress)
Football (handheld version, Atari version, run left to right avoiding other dots)
    Frogger (common sense)
Galaxian (aka Galaga, arcade game, common sense)
Jezzball (send line across screen to cut off area, seclude balls in small area)
    Minesweeper (common sense)
    Lotus (details racing game)
    Mario (common sense)
Marspatrol (jump over holes, shoot rocks and flying enemies while avoiding their fire)
Matrix (actually animation of the Matrix, falling code)
MEdit (create your own Mario levels)
    Monopoly (common sense)
    Pacman (common sense)
Phantom (left to right version of Phoenix)
Phoenix (same as Galaxian but with shop and upgrades)
Pinball (common sense - 3 different tables)
Punchout (NES version - common sense)
    Reversi (common sense)
Rtype(space plane, background moves to the left, avoiding coming asteroids)
Snake 2 (really, just Snake, can't go through walls)
    Solitaire (common sense)
    WIN (detailed version of Windows)
    Yahtzee (common sense)
    Ztetris (common sense)

    Other Programs:
    AOE2 (Age of Empires II)
Office XE (includes DrawXE, PresXE, and WordXE - like MS Office (paint, powerpoint, and word)
    Netscape (basically frontpage)
Stock Market (BASIC simulation, buy&sell stocks by me)

if you would like, you can tell me which programs you want and i'll send them to you, i have a archive of the files i have on my calculator, most of them at least, so i could send them to you if you'd like. just PM with a list.

Wtf do you need 4 TI's for? Multiple courses or something? I stick with my TI-83+ Silver edition and call it good.

i don't need 4 of them, but i have four because i've found a few. the only one i actually bought was the 89, the rest i found. the IO cable i borrowed from a friend and he moved to Iowa so i just kept it, the other two came with the 89.

meh i tried some coding myself.
and i was halfway of making an easy warcraft- hero defense of myself.

but i gave up with the multiplayer that was essential to the game :P damit

i'll look if i have graph link

umm...there's a decent beta of i think warcraft, may be starcraft, can't remember...as for multiplayer...calc-to-calc connection is so slow that multiplayer would be way to slow. you'd have to go with an AI, and for a game like that you'd definitely have to go with ASM, otherwise it'd be a huge, boring, text based RPG

    links:

    ASM Starcraft

    BASIC Starcraft

    BASIC Warcraft

..only semi-impressive one is the ASM StarCraft

sure Daz, i'll send you one, for 60$. that's pretty good actually considering they're about 100$ still. i've sold a TI-83 and a TI-83 Plus already, nothing wrong with either of them, and normally, i load them with tons of programs. i'm about to make a list of what all i have on mine and add it into the first post, but it's not nearly what i normally give people. i'll specify in the list what normally comes standard on the calculators i sell.

as for "googling" TI-Graph Link, i've tried, and everywhere they want you to buy it, and i don't have a credit card or paypal so i can't buy online and there's no store around that sells it because it's obsolete. there's a new program called TI-Connect that's better, the only thing i need TI-Graph Link for is you can edit programs on the computer which is a lot faster than typing on the calculator, especially if i want to do assembly. i've also tried LimeWire and a few torrent sites with no luck at all, hoping to find a .iso or something. that's why i'm saying if someone has it, if they could copy the image and send it to me or actually send me the cd, i'd make arrangements to pay them back.

i know that warcraft and starcraft.

like i said i was in the making of something like that warcraft program.
but in stead of building towers.
you can move arround a hero.
and equip him to do more damage.
    1-3 spells or something.

the multiplayer would be turn based, to overcome the slowing problems when using two calc's at once.

    To Blade:

this is about Texas Instrument graphing calculators like the one below:

that specific one is a TI-83 Plus Silver Edition

on these calculators, you can store values to a given variable, store lengths of text as Strings, graph equations, a lot more than you can do with a regular scientific calculator

the thing about these is, it has an area where you can create your own miniature programs (third row, third column of buttons in main area "PRGM")

one can also load programs onto a calculator from the internet. these programs could also be games. some examples are as follows:

those aren't the best examples, but they're sufficient. it may seem stupid to a lot of people, but it's a lot better than math class.

    To Herokeeper:

i've not played a game yet like that, but i'm sure there are a few, sounds interesting though. an RPG of Warcraft or Starcraft just wouldn't be the same as the original, but they again, i have a calc-to-AI semi-RPG of Age of Empires II, written in BASIC. i'm still afraid you don't understand how long it takes to send an action. it would be like sending a program each time, so each move would take at least 10 seconds or so, but it's worth a shot, i'm sure people would still enjoy it, good luck.

EDIT: first post editied, programs list added

heh...assuming you have MirageOS, i'd say all the ones i have. but seriously:

    Casino
    Aspirin
    Battleship
    Falldown
    Football
    Galaxian
    Minesweeper
    Mario
    Monopoly
    Pacman
    Phoenix
    Pinball
    Punchout
    Snake 2
    Solitaire
    Yahtzee
    AOE2

    and if you can program:
    WIN
    Office XE

if you would like, you can tell me which programs you want and i'll send them to you, i have a archive of the files i have on my calculator, most of them at least, so i could send them to you if you'd like. just PM with a list.

that should get you going good. it really depends on which calc you have...regular TI-83's can't run Apps, they're just stupid all together, but TI-83 Pluses are good. personally, i think the TI-83 Plus Silver Edition is the best, but it's really about the same as the Ti-84 Plus Silver Edition. if you have one of those two, you get tons of space, never had a regular TI-84 Plus so i can't really say much about that, not as good as a TI-83 Plus Silver Edition from what i've heard as far as features.

    EDIT:

redeemed, just saw your post, like i said, i found three of them, the only one i bought was the TI-89 Titanium...not many people have it so i don't say much about it, as for the 92, 200, and Z80, i've not even seen one before, at least not at a store, but just online
